Get in touch

The best way to reach us is by email: rvascontact@gmail.com. Questions about joining, hut hire, the community plot, or anything else — just ask, and someone on the committee will get back to you.

We are also on Facebook as Rivelin Valley Allotment Society. It is a good place to see what members have been up to and to keep an eye on what is coming up.

Where we are

Our site is the Roscoe Plantation Allotments on Rivelin Valley Road, Sheffield (in the S6 area). The allotments sit across from where the old Roscoe Mill and its dam once stood, and the old Roscoe Bridge still stands nearby. The valley is also home to Rivelin Valley Park, so a visit pairs nicely with a walk.

If you would like to know how the allotments came to be here, there is over a century of it on our history page.

Plot enquiries

The plots themselves are let by Sheffield City Council, not by the society. If you are hoping to take on a plot, start with the council’s allotments page.

Once you have a plot, we would be delighted if you chose to join the society as well — though we know the community thing is not for everyone.
